TopBox and Ipsy July 2013

Hello Lovelies! I've been slacking I know. I'm sad to report that I had to cancel a few of my boxes given my current jobless situation. I hope to get back with them soon. There were only two monthly subscriptions that I thought were worth holding onto. Why? Let me show you :)

I decided to go with the Regular TopBox again this month and I'm happy with that choice. This month I received:(left to right)
KMS California Free Shape Quick Blow Dry Spray: I'm actually pretty impressed with this product. It did exactly as it claimed!
yaby Lip Colour in Hot Date: Its sitting in my Glam RX palette right now :)
Cuccio Colour Nail Lacquer in Make a Wish in Rome
Belvada Cosmetics One Moment Essential Day Cream: That's 24K gold flakes sitting in there. This also costs a pretty penny at $60/60 mL. I'm not entirely sure about this product. I mean the idea of smearing gold and pearls on my face doesn't sound like it would work. But I guess I'll have to see :)

Ipsy's theme this month is Beach Beauty. I received:
Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray: adds texture to hair for that beach look.
Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Coral Crush: I have a newfound love for lip crayons!
Coola mineral sunscreen for the Face, SPF 20
Nailtini Nail Lacquer in Mai Tai: I love the names of all their products! Meet me at the nail bar Lovelies!
BH Cosmetics California Collection sampler: The colours are Hollywood, San Francisco, and Malibu.

Great Months again for both TopBox and Ipsy!

Ipsy Bag and TopBox June 2013

Happy Meow-day, Lovelies! I love it when two things I love come together and create a loveable force. For example, Mick and my favourite cozy couch blanket. Combined, they are cute and cuddly and snuggling is twice as nice! I also feel the same way when Ipsy and TopBox arrive together.

On the Wild Side: Ipsy June 2013

This month's ipsy theme was bringing out your wild side. I love the bag this month! I see a lot of items I can use.

 Nyx Mosaic Powder

JCat Beauty Sparkling Cream Palette in Suzie: I haven't read too many good reviews so far about this. Glitter is not something I do everyday, but I will give this a spin this weekend

psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo travel size: I have been using dry shampoos lately and am excited to find this in my bag. Its supposedly the original dry shampoo.
Cailyn Cosmetics Line Fix Gel eyeliner in Purple. I think its cute it comes with its own brush!

Starlooks LipLiner in Tickle Me Pink: I was so relieved to see I had received this colour and not Tipsy. I actually already have Tipsy from my Feb Starbox.

I can't say I've hated any of my ipsy bags since I signed up. Ipsy is one of the best deals at $14.95/month. You can sign up here!

Topbox June 2013

I didn't choose any of the Prive boxes this month as they didn't really interested me. Sometimes its is just nice to be surprised. And I am glad I got in on this month's TopBox. I received:

Pari Beauty Colour Cubes. These are stackable cubes that contain loose powder eyeshadows. They are really just fun to stack!

Belvada Cosmetics mini eyelash curler

Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb Lip Gloss. I really like this shimmery pink gloss.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Fairy Lashes Mascara. I had heard of this company before so I am curious to see what their products are like. I also have been diligent with my mascara expiry dates. Every three months, I open new tubes :)

TopBox is my favourite and (possibly the only) Canadian beauty box I sub to. Its $12/month plus applicable taxes.

May 2013 Ipsy Bag and SeasonsBox

Happy Caturday, Lovelies! I snapped this pic the other night because the furbabies are actually getting along. Onyx is a feisty, dominant girl and often likes to show Mick she's boss. This time around, she's letting him nap. It could be because she is atop my favourite, cozy blanket.
Let's do some unboxings :)

Spring Fling Ipsy Bag

I really like the bag design this month. I forget how good orange and blue can look good together. Tiffany blue and orange were two of my wedding colours!

At the top is a Pacifica Roll-on perfume in Tahitian Gardenia.
The middle from left to right:
Zoya Nail Polish in Piaf. I do like Zoya. I like the free 5 formulation which leaves out formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor. I kinda wish I didn't get the yellow one though.

NuMe Finishing Serum. It's supposed to give your hair a glossy finish.

yaby Concealer in Vanilla. This shade is way too light for me so this will be given away to my sister. I did email ipsy and they said basically I could just trade it away. :P Not really the response of that I wanted.

Urban Decay Moondust shadow in Diamond Dog. I was really surprised when I found this in my bag. I received a note thanking me for being an ipsy content creator. This was such a lovely surprise! Thanks, ipsy :)

On the bottom is Juice Beauty's Reflecting Lip Gloss in pink. Yay for lip gloss!

So all in all, despite the concealer mismatch, it was not a bad bag at all. :) You can sign up for ipsy here.

May SeasonsBox

This month celebrates Mothers. The May SeasonsBox is filled with ecofriendly and stylish indulgences that are sure to make every woman feel pampered! (from insert card)

 From Left to Right

Deep Steep Natural Body Wash in lavender and chamomile. I hadn't actually heard of this company before. Shea and cocoa butters hydrate your skin while antioxidants moisturize and tone. Sounds good to me!

Gourmet Body Treats Natural Eye Shadow in Island. This is more of a light neutral shade. I have a close-up pick below.

Zen-ful Natural Rose Bath Bomb. I'm pretty sure I have received this before. Just not sure where.....

Priti NYC Natural Nail Polish in Mermaid Rose. Lucky me, another yellow polish, haha! I'm not really sure what part of of the mermaid or the rose inspired this colour.

This has been the most beauty products I've seen in a month of SeasonsBox. Now I know there's been some talk of the company changing hands or moving. My shipping notice came from Atlanta, GA. I really hope this is still a Canadian company as its one of the reasons I signed up. SeasonsBox, please take some time to explain the situation for us! The sign up for SeasonsBox can be found here.

Pretty in Pink: Ipsy April 2013

Happy Friday, Lovelies! I must give kudos to Ipsy. I think I have liked, if not loved, every bag I've been getting since signing up back in November. They have partnered with great brands to bring their members something new to try. And this month's bag is no exception. The theme this month is 'Pretty in Pink'. Which is kinda ironic since the bag is just white on the outside. The inside has more of the signature ipsy pink though.

sexy hair soy renewal hair treatment: I've never heard of soy being used as a hair treatment before. This should be interesting......

Station Nail Lacquer in Of Corset I'll Call You

Mica Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in Earth (a bigger pic below) Its a coppery pink kind of colour.

Be a Bombshell Blush in Beach Please (a bigger pic below): When I saw the sneak peek for this, I secretly wished to get it. Its so not in my comfort zone for blush yet I really wanted to see how hot of a pink I could go. Saying that I guess I'll have to post a picture of me in it!

Another homerun for Ipsy! What do you think of Ipsy? Will you be subbing?

While you were Out!: March 2013 Ipsy bag and SeasonsBox

Hello, Lovelies! I've returned for a much needed week-long Spring Break. It was such a hard time: poolside and happy hours to go to ;)

While I was out, the mail kept piling up! I'm excited for all these new products!

Ipsy Bag March 2013

This month's theme is the Great Escape (woo-hoo, yeee-hoo!)

The makeup bag this month had a nautical design. From left to right:

La Fresh Makeup Remover Wipes in a travel size. Perfect for the purse!

juice BEAUTY Hydrating Mist. These will definitely come in handy for those days you just need a little spritz!

GlamRX travel Palette and 2 shadow pots from yaby. I can't wait to put a few more things in!

Another pretty cool bag.

SeasonsBox

This Month's SeasonsBox came a little later than usual but still a very welcomed sight :)

Even Mick was glad the ribbon arrived! This month's box was to help us Spring into St. Patty's.

Left to right:

Natural Incense Cones from Vance Kitira: It has the cutest little dish there!

Ecoverse Compact Umbrella from ShedRain: just in time too, I need a new one :)

Dublin Mint Irish Soap from All Things Herbal: smells so fresh!

Organic Gourmet Tea from Octavia: the tea is loose and even if I don't use it, it will make a great gift! :)

Ipsy February 2013: Red Carpet Ready

The picture above demonstrates how I feel about this month's Ipsy bag. And Its the first time I've felt this way since I started getting them back in November. I'll show you why. I was excited to see the hot pink bubble mailer in my mailbox. I've been conditioned!

The theme of this month's bag is Get Red Carpet Ready. This month's bag itself didn't really impress me. I think its supposed to look like a shiny patent leather type bag, but really it just is some cheap plastic that wrinkles easy. My phone's camera is actually doing it justice in the pic above. Now on to the inside.

From Left to right:

1) pixi Flawless & Poreless face primer: Its supposed to be hypoallergenic (yay!) and minimize the appearance of pores. I'm interested to see how this stands up against the PoreFessional by Benefit.

2) Coastal Scents Eye Shadow sample set entitled Glitz & Glamour: these look perfect for a smokey eye!

3) pop beauty Smokey Lash Kapow!!! Mascara in Smokey Black: I have never actually heard of this brand before so I'm excited to try it. I'm also swimming in mascara too :( The name is really cute too.

4) Lash Card Mascara shields: Just when I though I was rid of these! I have received this twice before. I don't really see the point in them so I don't use them. But the third time must be some sign. I'll try them (if I can remember to do so) but I would not buy these. Plus I received a mascara shield from Starlooks a couple months ago and it works fabulous. Maybe I'll throw these in my travel bag.

5) MICA Beauty Cosmetics gel liner in black(?) It didn't have a label on it but I can safely say its black. I do like myself a good, smooth gel liner and have had some good practice at applying it.

So overall, not their best bag, but absolutely not terrible. I have use for the the items but there was nothing wow about this bag. Statistically and in reality, I realize that not every bag will be jaw dropping awesome. It was just the first time with Ipsy. I still feel like this:

Eager and excited for what the next month will bring!

January 2013 ipsy bag and December 2012 Natural Beauty Box

First ipsy bag of 2013!

This month's ipsy theme was being a super star. And this little bag was full of goodies to indulge in :)

Going left to right
1) sexyhair bigsexyhair Spray and Play Volumizing Hairspray: I've always admired the packaging of these products . So simply yet so memorable. And these are salon products to boot.

2)Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil: Argan oils made a huge splash in the beauty world lately.

3) Nailtini in Frappe: it was a huge surprise for me because I was expecting to get Bloody Mary as all the sneak peeks were suggesting. I do like this one though! It is a very light peach pink.

4) Pacifica Body Butter in Tuscan Blood Orange

At the bottom there is a Soho Beauty Brush. Here's a better look:

This is the eyeliner brush. I never turn away brushes so I'm happy to have it!
Another hit for ipsy this month! I'm so glad they opened up subscriptions to Canada! What did you think of your ipsy bag? Has it convinced you to sign up?

The Natural Beauty Box Dec. 2013

I'm gonna keep this as drama-free as possible. I've read all the posts and things so please refrain from posting things I've already seen. I'm subscribed for a year and I've been happy so far. Companies have huge hiccups. Its time to recover. Despite shipping mishaps and whatnot, I'm pretty easy going.  I still look forward to these boxes. The December box is no exception.

At the very top is a Dr. Emerald Golden Berries Super Anti-Aging Stick: now I know it looks like a lip balm but the label clearly says not to use it as such. Its for the skin on your face, such as under eye areas.

Left to right:
1) Wine Delights Pina Colada All Natural Shower Gel: The bottle reminds me of the ones you get little samples of alcohol in, hehe!

2) Kitty Kozmetics Natural Body Scrub in Kandy Kane: The misspelling of all the names reminds me of LAWL cats!

3) Temptations Bath N' Body Wicked Little Gingerbread Soap: Its a little smaller than I would like but smells like the cookies.

4) Original Purity Raw Seeds Facial Gelee: I believe you massage it over your face. It feels great and smells so delish!

Top Left to right: I've actually had the opportunity to try these two before. I received them with my order, but they were in foil packs.

1) Delizioso Skincare Watermelon & CoQ10 Microsphere Polish: I really enjoyed using this face polish. My skin felt great after. Definitely glad to see this little jar!

2) Delizioso Skincare Cucumber Cooling Facial Moisturizer : I didn't get to use a whole lot of it last time. But I do remember a little cooling effect it had on my skin. I'm normally wary of those kinds of sensations on my face because they are usually proceeded by irritation and redness. This did not. But I'm still so uncomfortable with that tingling sensation, I don't know if I'll ever get over it. This moisturizer did not irritate my skin, however. So I will be giving it a few more trys.

Middle left to right:

1) I Love Coffee Super Nourishing Hand Cream: I do love coffee! And coffee smells :) I like to use this on my hands before bed so I keep it on my nightstand.

2)Temptations Bath N' Body Smell Me Soy Lotion Candle: Now this might be fun. You get a great smelling room and a moisturizer for your skin!

3) I Love Coffee Butter Massage Bar: I like to use these right after the shower. The bar starts melting once it hits your skin.

At the bottom is a Delizioso Skincare Black Diamond Mascara. I'm actually pretty excited to try this. I've never had a mascara that is natural before.

So some fun goodies to try this month! :)
