June 2013 Seasonsbox

Dive into summer! This is the June Seasonsbox theme. This month was filled with tropical and eco friendly must haves for the summer.

 Let's go clockwise from the left:

Organic Rishi Iced Tea in Tropical Crimson (Caffeine-Free)
Doesn't that look like a tropical cocktail? I need a little umbrella for it.This tea is created with tropical hibiscus, pineapple, citrus and herbs. Just add ice after brewing!

Vance Family Soy Candle in Organic Pineapple and Coconut
This is a pina colada for your room! Smells just like it sounds.

Organic Tagua Jewelry Bracelet- I also have a close up picture of me wearing it below. Love it! Each bracelet is actually handcrafted from a palm tree nut native to rainforests in Ecuador, Peru, and Columbia. The dyes used are organic vegetable dyes from Italy. An awesome summer accessory.

Moksa Organic Exfoliating Body Bar in Amazon Lemon
An natural soap good for the body. It contains vanilla bean orchid and lemon. The poppy seeds are for exfoliation. Sound refreshing to me!

May 2013 Ipsy Bag and SeasonsBox

Happy Caturday, Lovelies! I snapped this pic the other night because the furbabies are actually getting along. Onyx is a feisty, dominant girl and often likes to show Mick she's boss. This time around, she's letting him nap. It could be because she is atop my favourite, cozy blanket.

Spring Fling Ipsy Bag

I really like the bag design this month. I forget how good orange and blue can look good together. Tiffany blue and orange were two of my wedding colours! 

At the top is a Pacifica Roll-on perfume in Tahitian Gardenia.
The middle from left to right:
Zoya Nail Polish in Piaf. I do like Zoya. I like the free 5 formulation which leaves out formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor. I kinda wish I didn't get the yellow one though.

NuMe Finishing Serum. It's supposed to give your hair a glossy finish.

yaby Concealer in Vanilla. This shade is way too light for me so this will be given away to my sister. I did email ipsy and they said basically I could just trade it away. :P Not really the response of that I wanted.

Urban Decay Moondust shadow in Diamond Dog. I was really surprised when I found this in my bag. I received a note thanking me for being an ipsy content creator. This was such a lovely surprise! Thanks, ipsy :)

On the bottom is Juice Beauty's Reflecting Lip Gloss in pink. Yay for lip gloss!

So all in all, despite the concealer mismatch, it was not a bad bag at all. :) You can sign up for ipsy here.

 This month celebrates Mothers. The May SeasonsBox is filled with ecofriendly and stylish indulgences that are sure to make every woman feel pampered! (from insert card)

 From Left to Right

Deep Steep Natural Body Wash in lavender and chamomile. I hadn't actually heard of this company before. Shea and cocoa butters hydrate your skin while antioxidants moisturize and tone. Sounds good to me!

Gourmet Body Treats Natural Eye Shadow in Island. This is more of a light neutral shade. I have a close-up pick below.

Zen-ful Natural Rose Bath Bomb. I'm pretty sure I have received this before. Just not sure where.....

Priti NYC Natural Nail Polish in Mermaid Rose. Lucky me, another yellow polish, haha! I'm not really sure what part of of the mermaid or the rose inspired this colour. 

This has been the most beauty products I've seen in a month of SeasonsBox. Now I know there's been some talk of the company changing hands or moving. My shipping notice came from Atlanta, GA. Sweet and Lovely SeasonsBox April 2013

Honibe Honey Drops: These little guys are dried honey drops. Perfect for those who love honey in their tea when its not around. 

Crawford Street Skin Care Lemon Deodorant cream: It contains over ten essential oils to help deordorize, are antibacterial and anti fungal. Just a dime sized drop for each under arm will do ya. I'm excited to try this as I have moved away from drugstore deodorants. This also from a Canadian company!

Ecotools Foam Applicator : This reminds me of having a mini Beautyblender on a stick. I'm gonna have to look up how to apply makeup with this little guy. The handle is made of bamboo and the ferrule is made from recycled aluminum. Truly an ecofriendly company.

Connected in Hope Shiromeda Spring Scarf: Its a beautiful handwoven scarf. There is even a tag that lets me know exactly who made my scarf (see pic below)! Connected in Hope is a non-profit organization that strives to empower women in Ethiopia to rise above poverty through sustainable development.

Hello, Lovelies! I've returned for a much needed week-long Spring Break. It was such a hard time: poolside and happy hours to go to ;)

This month's theme is the Great Escape (woo-hoo, yeee-hoo!)

 This Month's SeasonsBox came a little later than usual but still a very welcomed sight :)

Even Mick was glad the ribbon arrived! This month's box was to help us Spring into St. Patty's.

SeasonsBox February 2013 and a surprize from Cake Beauty!

This month's SeasonsBox was themed 'Love Yourself'. While the focus of this month can lean heavily towards candy hearts and mass produced chocolate and over priced, sappy, greeting cards (I love Valentine's Day, can't you tell) SeasonsBox is asking to please remember to show yourself some love. And this box can definitely be a little treat for ya! SeasonsBox promises 3-5 full sized products each month for $34.95.

And as always, it comes beautifully wrapped! 

Lets start at the top left:

Bambu Earth Sugar Cookie Body Glow: At first I wasn't sure what a body glow was. Its a body scrub which has dead sea salt and coconut oil as some of its main ingredients. It suggests use 2-3 times a week to keep your skin glowing. It also smells good and comes in a reusable glass jar. You never see glass jars too much any more, do you? 

Galerie Au Chocolat Fair Trade Bar: I apologize for the terrible picture. Half of it got cut out! And I'd take another picture except I ate it all! Yes it was scrumptious :) The flavour I got was Crisped rice. The company is from Montreal and was formed back in 1985. I had actually never heard of them before but I will definitely be looking for their chocolates from now on!

Dream Organics Rose Water: I need to start off by saying, this bottle is just beautiful. Frosted glass with the hot pink detail.....*swoon*. Rose water is great for sensitive skin. I like to use mine as a toner, make-up setter, and a spritzer when I need a little rose aromatherapy. 

At the Bottom there is Kaia Naturals Bamboo Facial Cleansing Cloths. Each cloth is filled with vitamins and organic honey and sunflower and citrus oils. All to make your skin sing. Plus its has triple use! You can use these guys as a cleanser, toner, or makeup remover.

A Surprize from Cake Beauty

A few weeks ago, Cake Beauty introduced their limited edition Valentine's Day collection entitled the Sweethearts Collection. They drew inspiration from those cute (sometimes raunchy, sometimes mean) candy hearts with sayings on them. To celebrate, they did a five day giveaway on their Facebook page. Each day they would give one product from the collection to one of the fans that shared the photo of the delicious prize. I entered each day. Then I perused they FB page to see who won Day 4. I had to do a double take when I saw my own name! I emailed them right away and my surprize arrived swifty!

Happy Saturday, Lovelies! A big thanks to Cindy from Cindy's Love of Books. I found this new sub box on her blog. Please check it out:)

Sounds good to me! I am always looking to support Canadian businesses and always looking for subs for us and this sounded right up that alley! I was too excited to receive my first box. I immediately opened it upon arriving home. I have to start off by noting the presentation of this box, in and out, was just visually appealing. Even Mick really liked the ribbon!

Everything was wrapped beautifully and was protected. Nothing arrived damaged. But, I mean, look just how beautiful it looks! Ok.......that's enough, here's the goodies!:

At the top is a Kitira Boutique Hand Woven Scarf: made of cotton and oh so soft! I've already rubbed it on my face (LOL)
At the bottom is an Unearth Malee Thai Herbal Steam Bath Tea. I guess this is a spa treatment. And another cool little note: the bag was made with seed paper. Soak the paper in water and plant and you'll have a patch of wildflowers! :)

On the left is a Vance Kitira Hand Poured Cathedral Candle in Caramel Pear

On the top right is a bonus item, Perfumessence Organic "Breathe" Shower and Bath Bomb. Its eucalyptus mint with lavendar and rosemary. I have been using shower tablets lately and I've been having a little extra aromatherapy. :)
At the bottom right is Whispering Willow Whipped Shea Butter. I just opened it this morning and it smells better than a candy cane. It also is light enough to be used on the face.
