This week as I was pulling into my driveway I noticed something quite peculiar sticking out of my mailbox. A metallic hot pink mailer envelope. Hmmm, what could this be?
It wasn't too hefty, but as you can tell a little bulky. Let's open it up!
I pulled this out.....Now I think its supposed to be a makeup bag but it really looks more like a pencil case I had in 8th grade. I realized what this must be. Lovelies, this is another beauty subscription service called Pink Package. They like to showcase indie beauty brands. This is there very first bag. They handle Canadian subs on a case-by-case basis, so you have to contact them directly if you are interested. They still have kinks to work out, like getting a functional webpage back together. I, ever the sub box junkie, will give them a few more months. But enough of that:
Hmmm, mostly really flat looking objects. Let's start with the accordian thing at the back. It is a sample pack from Scarlett & Greene. I have never heard of them but they seem to be based out of New Zealand. There products have no parabens, silicones, etc making them suitable for all skin types. There are 3 samples in total: Come Clean cleanser, Bare All breakout control wash, and Under Cover moisturiser. These packets look onetime use. It would have been better to include maybe 2 or 3 of each to get a good feel.
Now going from left to right:
1) Violent Lips Temporary Lip Appliques in The Pink Houndstooth. Perfect for Halloween, but I don't think I'll be wearing these to Thanksgiving dinner!
2) Niki Saint Pierre Youth Creme: Described as an extreme regenerating treatment. The company is based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
3) Comodynes Easy Peeling facial towelette. I have 2 tries for this and it actually looks promising.
4) LVX Nail Lacquer in Primrose : Full size
All in all, not a bad launch package. So this mystery is solved!
Thursday evening I was greeted by a rather large hot pink box, sitting on my porch. I had a pretty good idea as to what it was but I had to be sure.......
Confirmed: The QVC New Beauty Test Tube! I had always thought the Test Tube was only available to US residents before seeing CityGirl's post on her Test Tube. I immediately signed up for mine! The Test Tube is a quarterly service, can be ordered through the QVC website, and costs Canadians about $47 when all is said and done with taxes and shipping. The Test Tube promises 8 deluxe sized samples every quarter. I took a gamble. Let's see if it paid off:
Score! A travel size philosophy love sweet love shampoo, bath, and shower gel. I have always wanted to try philosophy! And to the right is Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Conditioner. It never hurts to give your locks a little damage treatment every now and then,
Left to Right:
1) bliss lemon+sage body butter: I had heard rave reviews about this butter so I was thrilled to receive a good sized sample to try
2) smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer: score! I've been waiting for this sample to come to my doorstep!
3) Algenist Firming Cream
Top: Laura Geller Waterproof Eye Speckle Pen: a eyeshadow primer which also works great as a concealer. Now the shade I got was Fair/Light, so I don't think I can use this as a concealer, I am a proud Tan/Medium babe! ;)
Smashbox, again! lol I just love this stuff! I snuck another picture in!
In the middle is Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Daily Moisturizer.
And Last but not least a Mally High Shine Lip Color in Mally's Look. Not complaining about this either.
Overall, I really enjoyed this Test Tube and I look forward to my next one. :)
